I won this exceptionally clean and mechanically tight Winchester Model 1897 at a recent Landsborough auction with a view to creating a Win 97 Trench Gun. This gun is the take-down model as opposed to a solid Receiver, but is otherwise identical to the classic, iconic Trench Gun used in WW1, WW2, Korea and Vietnam. Still going strong in 2026.....
