I am the CGN'er that requested this...and I must say, John was quick to say he'd give it a shot....after multiple failures of the original plastic, I am VERY much looking forward to putting this one to the test. This little 190 is the most accurate of all my .22's and it was really frustrating (not to mention expensive at $20) for every cocking handle I went through. Almost 1 per range trip on average. Down to my last one, I saw John's ad selling Savage 64 extended bolt handles that he had conjured up and decided to ask about my "custom" job. WITHOUT hesitation he took the gig and enthusiastically got started. John kept me abreast of his progress, asked for any input that I may have and made this happen.
I have to say after having purchased this gun from another CGN member with an UNDISCLOSED slam fire issue that I researched and repaired, John's assistance with my cocking handle issue is to say the least very refreshing. Simply put, it's because of members like John that CGN brings shooters and enthusiasts together to support each other and help when and where we can.
I look forward to being able to someday pay John back and/or help another member here out. Thanks again John, truly appreciate your help.
