Hey everyone, looking at listing a Winchester 1906 take down in I would say pretty good condition, of course some marks and bluing loss from a hundred and some years of fun. Perfect function bore looks pretty nice. Would like to get an idea of what the value would be?

Thanks

Be aware all 1906 are take-downs so no premium there (just the earliest 1890s were solid frame). If wood is sound and no mutilation and a brown gun (and not too much silver) I'd say fair market value $350-400. Need higher original metal finish to command much higher. I have owned 3 and still own one so not just blowing smoke, though haven''t bought or sold one in recent years. If you're not prepared to fiddle, you could have some issues running it. Mine the extractor was dragging on a nicked edge and required some stoning, now works slick
