Looking for a source for Winchester .22 ammo? Have seen some posts on putting standard .22 through it but I am a rule follower.

Are you talking about 22WRF? I've seen it in stock at MacDonald's Sporting Goods. CCI does production runs now and then, buy as much as you can when it's available.

I have never heard it referred to as 22WRF but that makes complete sense now that I know what it means. It’s for a 1903 I am trying to refurbish. Thank you!

The M1903 Winchester was made for the 22 Winchester Automatic ctg not 22 WRF.

I was able to get most of it cleaned up and oiled. I believe it will be functional soon at this rate. So the question is still the ammo. Everything leads to Winchester .22 Automatic is this the same as .22WRF? I was able to locate and obtain some .22 WRF.

It’s a lot older than we original expected. My Dad figured around 1940 ish but a serial number data base came up with 1912.

Not the same 22WRF is much longer than 22Auto.

Thank you it looks like only one company makes small batches from time to time and I am not sure if they currently still do. I have emailed them. I would be happy with 20 functional rounds TBH. Would like to have the old man fire it one more time.
