I recently fell into some 50 grain Winchester PSP heads and am wondering if they will be anywhere near as devastating on a coyote as 50 grain Hornady SX out of a 722 Remington 222. These heads are of 1970 vintage. I also got some 53 grain hollow point match bullets in Winchester and Hornady offerings in the same deal. How would these work on eastern groundhogs and coyotes in the same rifle? I am going to load quite a number of cases and do not want to waste my time and material if they will not do the job. I was always used to loading the Hornady SX and was quite satisfied with them however these Winchesters were quite cheap.
As an aside how do Speer TNT and Sierra Blitz work in the 222? Anyone?
Thanks.
