Didn't somebody here recently Ka-Boom a .22 rifle? They are saying there could be double powder charges in the affected lots.

even with double powder, it would overfill the casing . impossible to put the lead projectile in? Kinda fishy to me...IMHO. probably it may have been a stovepipe and it caused a bullet to fire with open action.

A buddy of mine pulled a 22 and doubled the powder and shoved it back in. The reciever had a huge crack and the bolt was f***ing mangled. It's very possible to happen.

some people may think that due to the tiny case the 22lr is a weak cartridge. it is loaded with fast burning powder because it is also used in pistols and revolvers, double charging the case is a big problem, and can cause serious injury.
