I would say from your info and photo your 94 likely began life as a rifle and was returned to the factory for a new barrel in the late 30's to early 50's. At that time the barrel, mag tube and forend were likely all installed. Or the work could have been done by a gunsmith, Winchester sold replacement barrels by mail at one time. The patina on action,buttplate and lever appear the same not so the barrel, tube and bands. Is the hammer checkered or serrated, if serrated it was likely replaced at the same time as the barrel.
