Winchester 6.5 cm cheap ammo

Wow! I bought a bunch of Winchester 129 gr hunting ammo because it was the cheapest I could find and I wanted the brass for reloads. Not much of a surprise, but my rifle patterned like a shotgun. When I pulled a bunch out of the brand new box to have a look at ‘em, I found they are all different lengths! Every round I had has a different amount of cannellure showing out of the casing. Next time I get a chance I’ll check them with a caliper to see if the ones that are the same length group better!!

Winchester is an avoid ammo for me. Specially white box.

You want federal fusion for hunting and sako for reloading

Well, you did say you bought the cheap ammo for the brass after all.
Prolly been better off buying some once fired brass via the EE ?

The length won't cause it to be inaccurate.

If the bullet is making different jump lengths to the rifling, I would say that will hurt accuracy.

It will all work out in the end anyway. I’ll get a pile of brass for reloads and the bolt on my 700 might smooth out a bit. But if you’re planning on shooting just these, I would look elsewhere. I think they were something along the line of “deer woods” ammo by Winchester
