Winchester 67 w/ British Proof Marks

I bought the remainder of an old friend's collection, and in the bunch is a 67 with British Proof marks, threaded muzzle w/ cap, and holes drilled for scope bases. It needs a serious cleaning and some TLC. When I get it done, or rather, when Deaner gets it done I'll post some pics.

Kind of odd, no?

Threaded for a suppressor isn't odd coming from the UK. I have seen a few .22 rifles that way... one even with the Parker Hale suppressor...

Get this... I asked the fellow how he came about that... he said he was a retired policeman and he had confiscated it years ago. He was now using it to shoot crows in Oak Bay.
 
I meant the rifle was kind of odd to see in Canada. Perhaps “not common” would have been a better term.
