As far as I know, the 677 had no provision for iron sights. It was made for a telescopic sight which was the difference between it and the model 67. If it has sight holes it was drilled and tapped.
By the way, I saw a 677 with the factory scope listed on Gun Auction. Buy it now price is $2999.99. Sounds much better than $3000.00!!
