Winchester 680 Powder

Looking for some recipies for .223 rem (55g FMJ) with the 680 powder, it's discontinued, having a bit of trouble finding some loads.

Supposedly, AA-1680 is almost the same. (Depends on who you talk to.)

According to the 1877 Winchester manual, 680 was a very fast powder designed specifically for small cases like the .30 Carbine and the .22 Hornet.

No loads for the .223

Interesting, I see some loads for the .357 Maximum, Maybe I can find some loads for the .357 Magnum?

This topic came up once before. I have an old winchester load manual from '76, I'll see if there are any loads listed. IIRC, the only published loads were the Hornet and .30 Carbine. Possibly the 357 magnum, maximum and 44 mag - I don't remember. I'll look it up for you when I get home

The only H/G load I see, with 680, is the 256 Winchester.

Probable reason you're not finding a listing, is that it's not a great choice for the cartridge for one reason or another.
Maybe you should consider trading it off to someone that could put it to use?

I only have the 1 pound, probably not worth the expense of shipping, I have had one PM with regards to trading, I guess this is an option, but how to ship??
