Winchester 69A

This gal followed me home yesterday.
I know, A-5's and 69A's seem to set the hook...........pour moi..........

She's in really good shape given her age.
Only thing is, someone stole her aiming devices and left the pedestals behind.
Quack fackers.
So, my question to you noble folks, are these sight mounts original attire?
This is an older version of these models given that the ammo size is written out
in full, rather than the more current models that have been shortened up with
the S, L, & LR.

My quest is to get her back to original, if not, going to have the receiver grooved
for a set of awpticks.

I'm all eyes for reading .............

It was set up for sporting rifle target shooting. Probably didn't leave Winchester like that.
Do you have the sights?
Mine has Lyman aperture sights mounted - less sophisticated than yours. Shoots really well.

I'd like to make a back board for the bench.
It's on my list to do.

No, tiriaq, no sights on this gal, just what you see.
Trying to figure out the proper attire for this unit before
making any changes.

There were so many configurations of sights on these great shooting Winchesters.

I have 2 69a, grovved and ungrovved . My ungroved has Lyman rear and a globe dove tail front, 10 rd mag. They are really great rifles. My Grovver wears a dot and muzzle flashlight , I have smoked many coons on my farm with it using cci quiets. Anyone know what a cherry peep version is worth thses days??
