Winchester 70 XTR Bolt Issue - Please help!

Hey Guys,

I was cleaning up my rifle and I happened to drop the bolt while it was out. The safety moved from the intermediary position to "fire" and I can't screw the bolt assembly back together. The safety is now locked in the "fire" position, and the firing pin is no longer cocked.

Any ideas?

Push the firing assembly's cocking edge against a table edge or similar until it is back in the cocked position and rotate the safety back to the intermediate position. - dan

Thanks for the feedback - I was worried about damaging the bolt, but everything worked out with a little more force.
