I was wondering the approximate retail value on a Winchester 88 pre-64 .308. I will try to get some picture later but i will tell you as much as I can now. The blueing is in not bad condition, a few minor marks here and there and a bit on the crown (as usual) but otherwise its good. The stock is a bit marked up on the other hand. Not cracked or anything like that, just marked up.

I know its hard giving a price without seeing it but just a rough value would be great :).

It has a real marked up (not very good condition) weaver V4 or something like that on it as well.

I was at a gunshow in coombs today and got told about $600, which is a tad higher then i thought i would get.

I am not sure if i want to sell it yet (or trade) but I will see. I may trade it for a good .22lr as well. If i traded it for an anschutz 64 or something like that, would that be a good deal (for both of us)?

Thanks :)

There's 3 pre 64 Win 88 lever rifles in .308 Win with scopes in tip-off mounts sitting on the shelf for sale at Pullens Gunshop in Victoria, B.C. right now. Each is very good condition. They are $425 each. Have been there awhile. Probably could be had for $400 plus taxes...

So, I think the estimate was a tad high on yours. ;)

Most Win 88's I've seen have had a old steel tube Weaver K4 mounted in Weaver tip-off rings. Still gives you quick access to the iron sites.

Ok, thanks guys :). I will try selling it with the scope on for about $425 -$450 if i do decide to sell it. Or trade it for a used anschutz 64 (and give them an extra $100 or so.)

I saw one Winchester 88 at the gun show yesterday. It was in very good condition with no scope on it for $550. I am not sure if it sold or not...
