I was told that there is a spacer, adaptor or device ( Name it!) someone could buy to put in the chamber of a 30-30 or .32 special( not sure) to allow shooting.32 S&W long ( revolver cartridge) .

Have any of you heard about this before??

any info would be appreciated !!

There's a guiy in Edmonton that makes some adapters, but I can't tremember his name right now. Maybe one of the western guys can tell you.

There's also a fellow in Bozeman Montana who makes adapters as well. I have one of his - it allows me to shoot .32 ACP in a 30-06.

If I remember either name, I'll post again.

I have seen them in Shooter's Den in Sudbury. Guys load the .32s with shot and use them to pop grouse when big game hunting. Don't know where your swamp is, so this may be too far away to be useful.

I've used the game getter in my 30-06 quite a bit. It works fine, but the accuracy leaves something to be desired if you don't put the lead ball in just right. But, for grouse, they tend to just sit there shot after shot, if you miss, so you can get a second (or third or fourth) shot off.
