Got a friends 1894 circa 1936 I believe. Got it apart for a thorough cleaning and discovered the barrel is loose. Turns 2-3 mm then stops. Back and it stops. I imagine that explains some of the accuracy issues. Of course he did shoot 30-30 ammo out of it. It's a 32 Special!! Ya, I told him not to do that. He doesn't shoot it anymore anyway.
Oh, and the firing pin is broken. I'll need one of those. Anyway, any gunsmiths in Ontario (prefer gta) that can tighten up/properly index the barrel? Cheers,

I once had a turn of the century Marlin like that. You could completely unthread the barrel by hand. I just screwed it in until the headspace seemed snug and put a little weld at the barrel shoulder where it met the receiver. No issues after that.

a gunsmith might be able to roll the shoulder back, and reinstall

or
cut and install a shim between the barrel and receiver

or a Wall hanger

do not weld on barrel or receiver
