winchester 94 loose trigger + lever

hi guys, new to the lever action world.
recently, i bought a used winchester 1894 .44 mag and instantly found that the trigger and lever seems to be wobbeling quiet a bit... i am wondering is this consider normal?
The lever rattles latitudinally and the trigger rattles longudinally.

SOme do indeed rattle a lot others are not so bad. In my experiance the older -PRE 64 guns are less likley to be be loose. I own a 1968 94 that is really loose and my 1981 mod 94 is better. Though the 1956 won't make a sound no matter how hard you shake it.

well...i am quiet sure mine is post 1964. ohh btw, its the saddle ring model too, but i dont think that should make any difference.

My 94 Trapper (1981 manuf.) has a bit of wiggle to the trigger and the lever when not cocked and locked
