I just picked up a 1950 winny 94 and where the lever pivots there is a roll pin, not a screw so I knocked the pin out and there is no threads for a screw, so is supposed to have a pin or a screw
I think bubba got to this rifle, seen some videos on youtube, the lever should have a screw to hold the pin in place and mine doesn't have that screw and the bolt looks different.
I am confused about what the you are calling the lever pin.
If it is the front lower pin that allows the bottom assembly that swings down that the lever is attached to and pulls the breech block down, that pivot pin is solid and there should be a lock screw on the bottom of that assembly that holds the pin in place.
The part you're referring to is called a link. There's a pawl on the inside front that keeps the rounds in the magazine. Most likely this pawl became worn and somebody replaced the link with a post 64. On my pre-64 the pawl is quite long and ramp shaped. On my brother's 1972 vintage, it's more of a finger that sticks up.
