I have found a Winchester Model 94, 1978, Limited Edition II, which is a beautiful firearm. This is new in the wood case and unfired. Excellent condition, but no paper work.

I have no Winchester, lever action, or 30-30 in my collection of firearms, so this would fill a hole.

I am very unfamiliar with the Winchester Model 94, and was hoping readers can advise their thoughts on this firearm, and if anyone has an idea of the value a new one, I would greatly appreciate any information you could pass along. All I could find is a recent auction sale in the US where a good condition one sold for $ 1,900.00 USD.

At the end of the day, it is a Post-64 M94. Tarted up? Yes. Special? Not really. All their "commemoratives" were "limited edition" and they're not worth anything except to people who want a specific rifle (say, Mounties that really want a MP serialized 94 Commemorative despite the fact that the NWMP used the 1876, not the 1894).

Sorry to pee in your pool.

I see the commemorative and "limited edition" 94's go for between $700-$900, unfired, with the original box and paperwork, at auction on a semi regular basis.

They don't seem to be worth as much up here as they are south of the border.

Now, that shouldn't stop you from trying to get more. Just don't be broken hearted if it doesn't happen.

they are a tough sell, I know folks who have tried and tried for a long time to get a sale for a reasonable price. Don't expect big bucks and a quick sale. It just isn't going to happen, sorry!

Sorry if I didn't word this properly, but I don't have this rifle, I was quite interested in purchasing it, and just wanted to find out if it had any value.
