What would a reasonable price for a 1972 Winchester 9422XTR on the EE. I see they are collectable in the USA

To me though they are a nice 22lever they are way overpriced on the used market.There were a lot of these guns made and only a few in my opinion like the trapper version really deserve the price that they are asking for them.That said the price is set at what people are willing to pay for it

Had one of those, great gun. Smooth and shoots great. Look at other lever choices and you understand why these are over 1000 bucks. They may be over priced but people are willing to pay it. Check the auction selling prices in Canada.

Seems like nice examples have been going close to $1000 lately... And it's not just the Winchester that are going up in price, seems like the Marlin and Browning are not far behind.

I guess it's all about supply and demand, and they are not making the 9422 anymore
- The Marlin 39A is a custom shop order and very $$
- A new Browning BL22 is close to a $1000, heck, a Henry is over $500

They sure beat the inflation, I think mine was about $250 in mid 80's
