A friend of mine has 6 Model 97 pump guns in both 16ga and 12ga. 3 of them are unaltered and 3 have had the barrels cut down at some point in their lifetime. Most were made in the 1920's and in fair condition, but one in particular was made in 1897 according to the serial number. It's chambered in 12ga, and the condition I would put at fair, with about 20% of the bluing left. Unfortunately it happens to be one of the cut down versions. What would be the average value of this gun? And what would the uncut versions fetch in todays market at fair to poor condition?
