Winchester Accubond C.T.

My friend and I have used Winchester Supreme Ammo for years. At first I was sold on the performance of the Failsafes about 10-12 years ago. Couldn't find any 300WM cheap ammo, so I bought the box of Failsafes. The moose I got that year went down like a sack of hammers. Recovered the bullet. It still weighed 180gr. with perfect expansion. SOLD from then on with good bullets!

When we bought new Sako m75 SS 300WM in 1997, I tried the WS Partition Golds in 180gr.- great bullet. My friend tried the TBBC, but they dropped out of sight at the 300yrd target, so he switched to PG's.

The season of 2004 I bought a Tikka T3 LS 270WSM, and wanted to shoot the new WS Accubond CT's in 140gr. I also bought 180gr. for the 300WM. What a great performing bullet in both calibers. First shot a moose with the the 300WM (double lung-small entrance,HUGE exit wound) then my wife (then fiance) took her first mulie buck and cow elk using the 270WSM-both 1 shot kills. I shot on the last day 2 bucks - 1 WT, 1 mulie. Found the bullet from the mulie- it weighed 150gr. Accubonds claim to retain 80%-mine was 83%. 2005 I shot my cow elk with the 270WSM with the factory Supreme ammo-1 shot- dropped dead in its tracks! My fatherinlaw shoots the 160gr Accubond CT's in his 7mm RM.

I now reload using the Accubonds for my 300WM (150/180/200 grainers) and one of my T3 270WSM (140gr). I have no problem in saying that the Winchester Supreme Ammo is definately worth it! I could go on more.

This year I'm going to try the new Winchester Supreme Elite XP3 ammo in the one T3 270WSM(150gr) that shoots the factory Supreme ammo superbly, plus this is my wife's rifle now, so I don't want to mess with it. This XP3 should be a great bullet also. Tipped like the Accubond, but holds together more like the Failsafe. Once this bullet is released for reloading, I will definately try it!

Just do it! And you will never go back to cheap-low end ammo!
