Flash in the pan or not ?
Recently aquired a Win M70 Classic LRH Laredo Boss in 300Win. hoping that I could use the rifle for some long range shooting.
Very odd tuning the rifle to the load but hell it works. This gun will shoot sub 1/2 Moa @100 mtrs with 5 shots. Used Sierra 155gr Palma bullets along with a full case (close to it) of IMR4350.
Other than the noise and muzzle blast removing loose objects (scope caps) from the bench top the rifle has less recoil than my HB 308 win.
Any one else had experiences with the Boss equiped that they would be willing to share? Lets hear what you have to say.

I had an 300 win M-1000 Eclipse with BOSS and I found the same thing as you. Once you find the sweet spot for each load, this can take a few rounds and by a few I mean quite a few, it shot great. I found the blast from the break very reasonable compared to other brakes I have had and the reduction in recoil is substantial. My uncle does not like to shoot anything over a 6mm Rem do to recoil and he loved this rifle.

mmmmm

l bought a 300 in the laredo last year,l was a little sceptical at first as l couldnt get it to group the way l wanted, but after trying a few different loads and extending the magazine so l could lengthen the oal it turned into a pinholer, using 71.5 gr -imr4350 250 cci primer and 180 btsp interlock, boss set @8.5

mmmmmm

yes badger and catnthehat that is very true but,l had to just give that boss system a try for myself and just see what it could do and l was impressed as what it will do with factory ammo ,as l had some old store bought ammo here and l do mean old and l still managed to get just under three quarter of an inch group with it,which makes it handy for the person that doesnt reload.

We forget ourselves sometimes!
I tend to take rifles and handloading for granted, but then I do the same with
"target " rifles and iron sights and slings enstead of scopes and bipods !:D
