Well I finally got one of every caliber of the Winchester 1894's original offerings. I did get a 38-55 a few weeks ago, but found another this morning so traded up.

Anyhow, thought I would share.

Top to bottom (oldest to newest):

1904 32-40 Rifle
1909 25-35 SRC
1912 32 Winchester Special SRC
1916 30 WCF SRC
1920 38-55 Half octagon rifle

Nice stash. I need a 32 Special of similar vintage too. How long did it take to get them all?

Well the 25-35 and the 38-55 took the longest, about 3 years for the 25-35 and 4 for the 38-55. There have been a lot of 38-55's lately, but prior to the last year they seemed to be pretty scarce, except in the commemoratives.

I wasn't sure to post this in antiques or here...I chose here because they ain't THAT old :nest:

If I start branching out on collecting like you're suggesting Winnipeg, I am going to be dead-er than a door nail, the wife put up with this quest, I'd hate to push her some more. :p

Beautiful, the WSM/Lapoo-ah crowd won't like all this lever action talk!

Awww c'mon Ben....thats just not so !! My old Winchesters share the same gun safe as my Lapoo-ah as you call it and I like 'em all....Black powder, smokeless, the whole damn works !
Sounds like you're the picky one .... :)

Very nice! I fully understand the quest. I started just trying to get a lever action savage in every savage caliber (22hp, 250-3000, 300 sav and 303 sav). That was about 4 years ago, well now I have branched out some what and have safes full and still "need" to find more. It is a wonderful addiction! Half the thrill is finding them! Here hoping I find the next one for my collection at Kamloops!
