Winchester/Colt Commemorative Set, .44-40 WCF Offered in 1984. PICTURES ARE UP

I was looking at a Winchester/Colt Commemorative Set, in .44-40 WCF manufactured in 1984.

Its a really great looking set in an oak box with brass or bronze medallions with the matching serial numbers of the two guns.

The current owner wants to trade the matching set for some of my guns.

Approx. 2,300 sets were actually put together in this combination.

Some sets were split up and sold individually.

Does anyone know anything about them?

I will try to get pictures of them in the next few days.

I like looking at these guns! If I owned them (and maybe one day I will!) I would have them on display in a locked gun room just for looking at.

This isn't the EE.

Nice set... would have been far more attractive if they had left the cheesy gold plating off... particularly on the barrels, but case coloured receiver also.

To bad it wasn't with an 92 instead of a 94. Still a neat set though, never seen one like that.
