Winchester dealer in Canada

Phone Epps during the week and ask for John at the gun counter, nice fella and he will take good care of you.
Epps is a high volume gun dealer, they say one top 3 in Canada, so they should be able to get what you want. Plus they are one of our sight sponsors.

Epps couldnt do it as this is a shot show special edition.

I did get ahold of clay,, and he just so happend to be at the shot show! Put my order in this morning. Dont care if it takes a year to get it here,, Ive wanted a m70 in 257 roberts for 20 years,, and it sounds like ill finally get my wish!

I know Wes from Ellwood Epps is there right now also. Give them a call and I'm sure they'll get you one.

I contacted Epps,, this is the reply I got from them. So I contacted another dealer and the order was placed. Works better anyways, would rather pay 5% tax then 13%.

Unfortunately, the firearm you have selected is not available to order. You will note that the website for this firearm lists it as a SHOT Show special. The SHOT Show is an industry exhibition held each year by all major manufacturers and distributors in order to showcase new products and items entering the firearms sales arena. Some manufacturers -- Browning, Winchester and others -- produce new and specialized versions of firearms specifically for the SHOT Show. these models are only made available to select purchasers in extremely limited numbers, to be purchased at the Show. Once those bookings have been completed, those special models are not made available for later ordering or purchase.

The model that you have selected is a SHOT Show special, and will not be available to order.

As an Ontario resident, you'll be paying HST no matter where you order from. Thank McGuinty for that one.

All vendors who are registered to collect GST are automatically registered to collect HST. A GST registrant in a non-HST province who sells goods which are delivered to an HST province must collect the HST. A registrant in an HST province who sells goods which are delivered to a non-HST province would collect only the GST, not the HST.

I sure hope someone from Epps is reading this thread and spanks the guys peepee for bulls**ting the customers.

Directly from Browning Canada:

The firearms listed as SHOT Show specials on the Browning website can be ordered by distributors, however the number of guns being produced are limited. Orders are placed during the SHOT Show. If the production numbers are sold out at the SHOT Show, most of those guns will not be placed back into production.

At the moment we (Browning) are accepting orders for SHOT Show guns by distributors attending the Show, but we cannot guarantee that those models will be available for individual orders after the Show has ended, based upon pre-orders secured at the SHOT Show.

Some models may be made available in limited quantities after the SHOT Show ends, but at this time there is no indication of which models might be made available post-SHOT.

This is the response we have received from Browning and Winchester for more than 5 years now. These two companies continue to post their SHOT Show guns on their website even after the show has ended and production of those models have ceased. This causes repeated inquiries from customers for firearms that are not standard production guns, and cannot be acquired once the SHOT Show ends.
