Winchester Deer Season

Any stories with this stuff? I just bought a bunch as it was cheap, and shot the best groups of my life (not saying a lot). At sub $30/box (30-06. 150grain) this stuff is a steal.

I wish you could buy these bullets.

I am sure they will kill a deer.

Aside, I dont consider any large cal "a steal" unless its under 20 a box these days

Thats a fair price and I'd probably a box just to try.

The last time Winchester tried "deer ammo" was the Powermax bullet. They shot terrific out of my .308, but unfortunately the performance on game was disappointing. I dont use them because I like exit wounds and I was not getting them with Powermax.

I just find "deer ammo" is kinda gimmicky. Deer arent hard to kill. The good old standard cup and core type bullets kill them just fine.

It shoots great in my M70 243, but I haven't had a chance to try it on game.
