...40 grain HP. Good price on it at the local Cantire. Is this decent stuff for accuracy and reliability? Not looking for target ammo just minute of gopher accuracy levels.

I use it in my Ruger 10/22. Its the most accurate of the low grade stuff I have put in my rifle and never got a jam which is why I've stuck with it. Its in the same general field as winchester 555 Bulk packs. Target/plinking stuff.

Grab some Federal or preferably CCI if your going for gophers its only a few more bucks

I've been using the Fed bulk stuff for years but I'm running low and noticed the dynapoints in cantire today at $23/500. Federal is $30/525, which isn't a lot more. Last time i bought Fed bulk packs 3-4 years ago was on sale for $12/pack at the local Co-op.

:) Should have bought 20,000 rounds :)

Last time I bought it it was $19.99/500 and still have 5 boxes left.:)

Great for plinking at the range but there's not much of a hollow point compared to other's if you plan on using it for hunting.

I save a little and go with the X-perts or 555's which replaced them. I have shot a fair number of critters and the X-pert/555/333's work just as well as stingers. The animals were larger than gophers so your mileage may vary.

This chart below is how they tested in my Savage BTVS. Best Winchester ammo that I shot. Better than Federal bulk and CCI Minimags. Still only about 3/4" at 50 yards. Not good enough for target shooting, but it is my standard gopher load. Stocked up at Walmart for about $17 a box a couple of years ago.

where does the SK stuff fit into this?

I was in a BC Walmart today and picked up some bricks of Winchester 555 for $19.99. If they shoot like the Dynapoints do in my 10/22's should be a good deal. :D:D

There was a time when Walmart in Alberta had these on for 11.98 and the 223 Win varmint 40 packs on for 14.99. I bought all I could find on a southern alberta trip. The Dyna's are close to standard velocity at 1050 fps, so a little quieter than the HV stuff. I usually take my Paco tool to a brick of them for gopher season. FS

I haven't tried the dynapont in .22 LR but I tried them in my Savage .22 mag and they were the worst of anything I tried as far as accuracy. But maybe in another gun they are fine.

my buddy's Vostok rifle loves 'em. my S&W 22A pistol loves 'em. they've been ok so far in my 597, but haven't tried them in the Savage Mk II (and won't cuz that gun is probably only gonna see higher quality stuff like SK)

Buy them and see how they work for your gun. My 597 shoots those the best of all the types I tried. They are one of the only ones that group consistently well.

where does the SK stuff fit into this?

SK is made by Lapua (as is Wolf), and Lapua no longer markets their lower end rimfire under their own name, just under SK and Wolf (US) names. Here is my guess at which Lapua ones match up with the SK brand names:

Lapua Super Club = SK Rifle Match
Lapua Club = SK Standard Plus (I did not test this one)
Lapua Hollow Point = SK HV Hollow Point
Lapua Speed Ace = SK HV Solid

Peter Dobson would be the one to ask for a definitive answer though.
