Has anyone shot some winchester dynapoints out of their SR-22's? I ran into a guy at the range that was sniping the center dot over and over and over at 50 yards with those rounds out of his scoped 10/22. I am going to pick some up but I wondered what other people had found.

Thanks,
Jesse

P.S. I have found that round tipped ammo(CCI/Foicchi) out of my Butler Creek mags works almost flawlessly, where as flat tipped ammo like Winchester hollowpoints jam like 1 out of 4 rounds.

Not an SR-22, but out of my savage mark II, and mossberg 702, dynapoints are particularly terrible. I find them horribly innaccurate, dirty(even after loading a few mags you can feel the dirt on your fingers, imagine what it's doing in your rifle) and I get a(relatively)high percentage of duds.

Some people love em, but I guess I'm not one, I avoid them (all winchester rimfire actually, although I like their centrefire and shotgun ammo) like the plague. I find remington shoots fine but is also dirty, CCI shoots best and is clean, federal shoots 2nd best and is also clean. I usually go with federal 525 packs as the best compromise between accuracy and price for my needs.

Best thing for you to do though, is buy some, and a few other kinds of .22 in your price range and go shoot some groups. That'll give you a real idea of what you (and, more importantly, your gun) likes.

Winchester 333 is probably the best ammo Ive ever run through my 10-22, shoots bug holes at 50 yards. Fed 525 has to be the worse for me in terms of misfires, stove piping and piss poor accuracy.

Cheers!!

I bought a few bricks of the older Dynapoint product that came in the white box. As a standard velocity round it shot quite nicely in many of my bolt guns, have yet to try it in the new SR. We have benn getting acceptable accuracy from the 40 solid American eagle and even better with the 38gr hollow point ammo.
In Win ammo the Powerpoint 40gr HP has always been an accurate round for me. FS

CCI Blazer is another ammo I forgot to mention that is usually priced right and works well in a variety of rimfire rifles. FS
