Searched much of Saskatoon for some CCI minimags or blazer and came out empty handed. This city is pretty brutal for selection. Canadian tire had some about a month ago, shoulda stocked up I guess. Was gonna buy the winchester 555 but CT had them listed for 33 bucks, crazy. Ended up going to walmart and grabbing 500 dynapoints for 23 bucks. Gonna try them out in my 597 VTR this weekend. It didnt like the winchester HV last time but I figured I'd try these out anyways. Anyone tried them in their VTR or 597 or any gun for that matter? The bottom is marked super x one, I'm assuming this is normal and they just use a standard casing for all their 22lr ammo? They do appear pretty dirty though despite being copper plated but might just be the lead showing through.

also always have luck with those dymapoint white boxes. My cz452 and savage like them and gave me decent grouping. I use them them as a warm up ammo and always have some on hand.

I too use the dynapoints out of my 597, have not had one problem with them. so far have shot about 1500 of them. The HV's on the other hand were not very good at all. i would usually get a least 1 or 2 missfires each 30 round mag.

just my 2cents

Odd how 22's can be. Out of my pet 22, the HV are the most accurate, almost as good as the Eley. Dynapoints and 555 (or 333) are good too, as are the Wildcats. Rem doesn't shoot worth a crap out of my 22's, but my son's CZ loves the Subsonics.

Watch the Co-op sales flyer. They usually have a good sale on .22 ammo in the Spring. I bought three or four cases of Western .22 HP last Spring. They also had a reasonable price on 12 ga. WW Super Target shells, $5.97 a box last Fall. I bought three or four cases.

I have been using dynapoints for the past year. I really have nothing but good to say about them; however, now that Walmart is actually stocking 555's at $5 a box cheaper (for 55rds more) than CT for the Dynapoints, I am going to them. They shoot fine in all of my rifles and, as I said, are cheaper.

My Ruger eats the 555's up, my Stevens 300 throws 10 of them into one 3/4" hole at 50 yrds, my 64B is only slightly worse and my JW-15 hasn't seen them (it likes to shoot stingers for the lo-o-o-ng shots) so I can't say how they work.
I like the 555's so much I bought a case of them Saturday. And will probably get another this week. Once I use up the dynapoints, the Win Super HV, the wildcats, the Cyclones (which are the best Remington stuff I have fired to date), I will only use 555's. No other round is as efficient on my wallet and rifles.

Dynapoints have worked well for me. The only thing stopping me from using them is that I can buy 333/555 for less.

Went out yesterday and shot off about 200rds of Dynapoints ( again ) through the Mossy Tactical , with no probs. Been using them for quite sometime through all my .22's and never an issue.

Whats the diff bettween the 555 and Dynapoints anyway , other than price ? .

Dynapoints have 40 grain bullet with a small hollow point cavity, compared to the 333/555, which have a 36 grain bullet with a much larger cavity. Also, the Dynapoints are a standard velocity load instead of high velocity.

Well I tried em out and they were definately so-so. Couldn't get a good sense for accuracy at 50 yards with the blizzard and all but at 25 I'd say it's the best so far with 10 shots well under an inch. Now there were a few issues. 3 FTfire but 1 eventually went. Also had a few FTE and jams, probably about 5 or so. This was in about 300 rounds. However, the gun hasn't been cleaned for about 800 rounds which may have contributed. Also, my last shot hold open has been failing the odd time, likely not ammo related but curious to any solutions. Maybe just dirty as haven't cleaned the mag yet either. Anyways, all in all I don't think I'll seek dynapoints out as a favorite as I prefer blazers if I can ever find them, but wouldn't be afraid to buy again if all that's available.
