Looking to find out how much a Winchester Model 70 Featherweight Winlite with the McMillan fiberglass stock is worth these days. The rifle is in excellent condition and is chambered to. 30-06. Yes, it's the push feed model

It’s worth more than you can get for it.
A new McMillan stock is 1000$. But put a PF model 70 in it, and it’s worth about 800$ imo.

The exact rifle your asking about sold for $699 on the Elwood Epps website a couple of weeks ago. One was also listed on the EE last fall for around $900 and it was bumped multiple times, and I’m not sure if sold. They are nice rifles, but street value of a push feed is around $600-850 depending what it is. Unless of course it’s a .257 Robert’s or a 7x57. Then your looking at a grand. So the estimate of roughly $800 give or take is pretty accurate, even with the McMillan stock. I took a couple of hours off work to hit a gun show with my kids this morning though, I did see a push feed model 70 in .375 H&H with an ask price of $2200. I nearly fell over laughing, I stopped myself from asking the guy if he was off his meds.

Two good assessments above, if you have a use for it keep it. The PF M70 is much maligned but I’d take it over most other rifles in its class for just straight use, it’s actually a good action and I prefer the controls to others. Probably represents one of the better values out there given the prices they sell at.

My favourite PH carried a .30-06 PF M70 90% of the time in Zim. The CRF big M70s only came out for buffalo, leopard and lion.

You want to list it for whatever someone will pay for it. Not necessarily what it is worth.
These are fantastic rifles, I own one in 7x57.

Your right they are typically pretty excellent. I’m a huge CRF, and mauser guy but I do like the model 70 push feed, they are smooth and reliable, and worth the money spent.

Ya, prices on used guns are ridiculous. Went to the Lethbridge gunshow couple of weeks ago and was shocked. Astronomical prices for hard used guns. Just wanted to see what I could get for it as something new and shiny has caught my eye.

I had a winlite in 7 rem mag that was one of the most accurate rifles I’ve shot. It had a lot of drop at the heel and a hard rubber pad and was painful to shoot. I should have put a replacement pad on and kept it.
I’d take a chance on a featherweight stocked one.

CRF classic action pillar bedded into a Winlight featherweight stock, stainless 22” .338 barrel. Been my all around BC gun for ever. Great stocks, great guns. Even push feeds.
