I have a mdl 100 that has the the firing pin safety update. When I load it and #### it operates properly When I pull the trigger it goes Click and that's it the primers are dented shallowly but not fired. Could this be a weak hammer mainspring problem. I contacted WGP. in Edmonton but they dont have springs for it any idea where to get a new spring?

Strip the bolt and see if there is any greasy mung or other detritus in the firing pin passage.

Reassemble, checking for pin protrusion.

My bet is that there is something in front of the pin, blocking it. Or the pin may be a little bit draggy in the bore. After that, then start looking for contact point issues (how the hammer/striker contacts the pin, or dragging due to misalignments) then stuff like springs.

Troubleshoot in a logical manner, determine the fault, then order parts as required.

Edit: Reloads or factory ammo? Could the reloads be a bit short, and sitting deep in the chamber, if they are reloads?

Cheers

It does it with reloads and factory. I pulled the bolt out checked if the pin is free moving it is. I checked if the hammer is hitting the firing pin it is and it seems to be going all the way forward hard to tell as the hammer moves a little to the rear after hitting the pin and comes to a rest about 1mm back from the pin after hitting it

There was once a factory recall on Win. 100's that was firing pin related. Don't remember just what it was about. It might be worth while contacting Winchester with the serial number of the rifle and see if it was ever done on your rifle. Maybe Guntech has the details in his files or emory.

Has someone taken the rifle apart other than the person that did the warranty work?
As the bolt is a somewhat complex machined mix of parts, it is possible that something was put together wrong.
I do have new firing pins for this model if that is something you want to try.
