A hunting bud has a Winchester Model 100 which is seized closed. The action cannot be opened. Can't take the barrelled action out of the wood, with all the screws out. Anyone have any ideas. Yes, it is unloaded.

i have see this a few times on the win 100. just put a wood block on the cocking handle and tap it with some thing and it will brake free :D

I've dealt with this a few times as well. You say it is unloaded, but is there a spent case still in it?
The block of wood idea will work, but be very careful on the cocking handle as it is intergral with the action bars and you don't want to replace this if you don't have to. You can also use a brass rod (approx 5/16 diameter x 24 inches) in the muzzle end and have someone lightly tap it while you work on the cocking handle.
One of the poorer designs for breakdown, having to have the action open to remove the stock, but you have to play the cards your dealt. :?
Let us know how you do.
