i have an old winchester model 1912 shot gun in 12 ga. manufactured in 1914 im not going to sell it as it was my great grandfathers i was just curious on the value as it is in fairly decent condition. Also can you shoot modern shells out of it im pretty sure you can't however i was wondering on that to.

An accurate value can't be given by the description given but if it is a plain field model it will be approximately between $200.00-$300.00. These guns seem to bring more money down in the US, the further South, the better (so it seems).
The chamber should be measured as it may be shorter than 2 3/4" and should not have the longer shells fired in it if that is the case. If 2 3/4", the gun will handle modern loads but it is not designed for steel shot.
