I don´t think the 1200´s are quite desirable as collectors items yet, but are great shotguns. I´ve had one for the last 20years. Works great, just have to find ammo it likes. Maybe 275-400 depending on condition.

We don't know the chamber length, barrel length, fixed or choke tubes, vent rib or not, hardwood or walnut, recoil pad or plastic butt plate, field or trap/skeet model. No pictures, vague description of condition.

$350.00 would be tops, which would likely take awhile to get, and that's for one with vent rib, choke tubes, very nice condition etc. Otherwise, as mentioned, it's $150.0-$200.00.

Bought a 20 gauge with 3 chokes from original owner. It was pretty much new in box. He shot 40 rounds and the modified and I/C chokes were unused. Paid 375.

I really love these old Winchesters. I sold a Ranger 120 two years ago for $250 and regret it. Everyone needs a beater shotgun built like a tank but I lost mine.

To be a collector gun it has to have collator appeal never have seen a collection of 1200's utility grade guns . 3" vent rib win choke walnut stock $350.00 lesser grades less $ 's

I like them generally for a utility shotgun, but I ended up going with Mossberg for that role. I had two Winchesters (a 120 and 1200) and I had problems with keeping that retarded bolt spring guide (or whatever it is called) in place. It would shift and the bolt would constantly bind. I solved it by switching brands. Unless, as stated above, it has all the bells and whistles, they are about a $150-$225 gun. With the nicer upgrades such as the better wood, rib, choke tubes, etc , you could see $375...........IF IT'S IN GOOD CONDITION.

The part is called a slide bridge. It was and is a problem part. Early guns has a bridge screw that kept the plate still but the screw would break causing the same problem.

I think he is referring to the ejector spring ? Earlier models are held in place by a little hook , later models with a screw. They work ok but have a very wimpy extractor when compared to any other shotgun i have owned.

Trading a mossberg 20 ga for yet another winchester pump tomorrow so yes i am partial and have a love for them even though they have turned into a single shot while hunting before with super hot federal turkey loads
