I picked up a Winchester Model 1901 Lever Action 10 GA with a 19" Barrel (most likely cut back many years ago). Date of manufacture is 1910 according the the SN.
With the gun came a box of Canuck #4 low brass paper shells that look like they were made yesterday.
I have never fired this shotgun and will not untill I know it is same do do so. Does anybody know if modern 10Ga shells can be fired safely from such an old shotgun. It would be a shame for this fine piece of craftsmanship to just keep sitting in the safe.
