I have just inherited a almost unused Winchester .22 Win Mag Leaver action model 255. I don't know much about this rifle and info seems hard to come by so I need some advice. I know the general rule is no on most rifles but will it damage the pin to dry fire this rifle? If yes can you decock it somehow?

Oh and any Idea how much it's worth? It's probably only had one box of rounds through it and has one light scratch on the side otherwise it looks and shoots like new.
