I have a long time unused 20ga 37A that I'm cleaning up and refinishing the stock. However I notice that inside the barrel there are some gouges or pitting in one area about 1/3 way down and around the circumference. The marks don't appear too deep or long. The rest of the barrel looks great, the chamber area looks clean and solid no signs of cracks or swelling.I was planning on taking this out gobbler hunting. And since it is chambered for 3" shells I was planning to use 3" #4 or 5 shot.Since the chamber and first section of barrel is good will it be ok or too risky shooting the heavier turkey loads?
