Winchester model 64 magazine

I have a Winchester made in Canada model 64 .22 cal which I need a magazine for. Will a Cooey model 64 magazine fit this ? Cabelas has them but says does not fit older models with plastic magazines. Help ???

if you have a plastic magazine, no it won't fit because it's a different magazine. you need a conversion kit to change to the now produced savage 64 magazine.

try searching the forum. there's a few threads about the 64

plastic mags are obsolete. cabellas will have the metal magwell and these handle the new mags. If yours has the large square opening and just a flat angled piece to hold the mag, then it has to be changed to the newer metal magwell.
