I have Model 69-22-short Winchester. It shoots Long and Long rifle. it has open sites, and is Not drilled/tapped I was Wondering if any Body would know the Aprox Value of this fire arm. Thanks

69

Last 69 (not 69-a) I sold had a rear peep sight and was in VG condition I got $250 for it. Depending upon condition, I`d say it`s in the $175 - $325 mark depending upon original magazine, sights, remaining bluing and wood finish, etc. If it`s been refinished it will hurt the value as well. Personally I value a grooved 69-a for more money as there were more produced and more parts available. They are an accurate and well made rifle.

If your gun is a Win 69 22 short, it should no be shooting long rifles!! A true short chambered gun in mint shape with no special features should be $300-400 range, will climb in price if it has deluxe stock, peep sights, customshop sling swivels etc. Dale Z!

The 69 was only made for one yr the first yr of production they #### on closing which is not that desirable as far as a shooter they were only made in one grade condition is every thing when it comes to value if it looked like new $400 it is likely well used with much wear $150-$200.

I would never say never with Winchester, I handles a model 69 short with deluxe stock peep sight with front tunnel, along with inletted model 70 supergrade sling swivels that came out of the WInchester custom shop! Now there is a real rarity! I wish it was in Canada, but sadly was in the US with noway at the time to get it home. The only model 69 I really wanted!
The model 72 I also saw in the same collection , same configuration but in 22lr. to very rare guns built on the same action for a very wealthy client!
These guns are excellent shooters, just for some reason I buy them and then sell them a few years later, with real no profit! Would like to see pictures of your short!cheers Dale Z!

The 69 will shoot 22 short 22 long and 22 Long Rifle. They are a nice little repeater. They could be much better with an improved trigger. I agree at $250 but it's hard to tell without pic's.

Winchester model 69

I have a Winchester model 69 I bought from a friend and it's grouved on top of the reciever . I hate to say it but it's been parkerised and is'nt blued anymore.

I've had people tell me on rimfircentral that the 69 never came with grouves on the reciever. it also has a Lyman peep sight on it .excuse my spelling it's just after 5am . the 69 was made for 2 years . from what I remember it was made in 1935 till 1937.

I bought the rifle because I could'nt believe the way it felt when I put it to my shoulder. nice rifle .
