The 70 shoots as well as the A7 and the T3, it weights more so it is more comfortable to shoot. I think if I put a McMillan Edge on it I'll like it better than the other two. It is a shame as other than the fit the stock is nice and stiff and the alum bedding plate is a nice feature.
I am used to my savage 10fcp rifle with the HS precision stock so one of the main reasons I like the model 70 extreme weather SS is it's meaty feeling stock so this is music to my ears. The only change I would consider is ditching the soft recoil pad for something fairly hard. I have seen my bosses model 70 with the pachmyer recoil pad and he has used the rifle pretty rough and beat up the recoil pad pretty good. On a side note he really likes the look of the extreme weather stock and might be interested in purchasing yours if you do decide to sell it. PM me anytime you may want to relieve yourself of it to help fund a replacement and I can ask him if he is interested.
