I've owned both the M70 XTR Lightweight (just a Fwt barreled action in a different stock), and a Model 70 Classic controlled feed Fwt in 280.
Very nice rifles, both of them.
The classic rifle/cartridge combination is a Fwt in 270 , but the 280 is just a bit more sophisticated and puts you in a whole other class of kick ass![]()

I have one in a the Classic FWT model and love how it looks and handles.
Can't stand the fact it doesn't have a detachable mag though.
Mine was pillar and epoxy bedded before I got it and shoots really well.
Just picked up an A-bolt II Hunter in a 280 as well, and it has the detachable mag, so I think the FWT maybe on its way out, just can't make myself pull the trigger yet!
Is the one you are looking at a Push feed or CRF model?
