For the model 70 aficionados here if you can,

Are featherweights with orange buttplates from a specific time period? Or are the most current productions have both black or orange pachmyr pads?

Rifle barrel stamped as New Haven, CT…is that a current production? As in new MOA trigger?

I do not know much on the model 70. Thank you.

I'm not sure when they stopped using them, but the red/orange pads started when the featherweight was re-introduced in the '80's. It might even be push feed. Current production rifles are made in Portugal. The MOA trigger was introduced when the company was bought by FN, and production moved to South Carolina, then Portugal.
