Winchester model 70 xtr years of manufacturing

Anyone know what years they made the xtr version of the model 70?

The XTR upgrade appeared in 1978 and continued until 1992 . . . I think. In 1992 Winchester introduced what they called a controlled round push feed, a system by which the spring loaded push feed extractor held the round against the bolt face, which was intended to be less expensive than the M-70 Classic, which was the reintroduced CRF action. So I think the XTR designation ended in 1992.

late 70's to the 80 's I think , sweet shooting sporter. Mine was 7 mag.Topped with a 1.5x5 leupold.
