Hello, I have model 88 (lever) in .308 with a cracked stock. Does anyone know where I could get a replacement or somebody who makes them.I've looked hi and low at gun shops and the intenet. no luck. any info would be appreciated… thanks

How bad is the crack & where is it, it might be repairable. Try Great American Gunstocks they might have one. Your other option might be to have someone in Can. use yours to make you a copy. I know there are one or two in Can. that can do this but don't have any names perhaps someone can give you this info. --- John303.

I got a stock for a Model 100 from Boyds and they should also have a stock for a model 88. WHile I was searching for my stock I found that these guys were the cheapest, and the unfinished only require minor work.

Hope this helps.

Seeing as your from Sask. Rich McCrea is your best bet.
Email: mccreare@sasktel.net. Ph.360-932-4550.
If you deal with Boyd's you have to go through a gunsmith that has the paper work in place, as they will not deal with a private person, plus if you want a laminated stock Boyd's no longer makes them for the mod. 88.
Rich is a little more expensive, but turnaround time is WAY faster and his work is beautiful.
Hope this helps. jag

Actually, you can order the stock direct from Boyd's as long as it is less than $100 before shipping, you don't have to go through a gunsmith. I've ordered 3 stocks from them and never had a problem, just pick them up at the post office and pay the duty (usually around $20).

I also forgot to mention that Saskatoon Gunsmith Shoppe usually has hard to find stocks, though because they are original stocks they are usually a bit more.
