I have recently acquired a post 64 Winchester model 94 30-30 cal. The issue i am having is that i can only load one cartridge into the gun at a time, it will not accept a second cartridge at all and the first requires alot of pressure to load. Also the cartridge does not properly line up with the chamber and requires some finger alighment to put properly in the chamber. I have broke down the gun and cleaned all the parts none of which appeared to be damaged or broken. if anyone has any information on ways to fix these problems please let me know.

Thanks,
Fish

If you can safely take pictures of the action in working the round,
it could better determine what is going on.
If you reload, maybe press a bullet into a spent case and use it.

It sounds like the follower may be dirty or out of shape, perhaps a small dent or out of roundness. Perhaps remove the magazine tube completely and see if the follower will drop through it smoothly under gravity alone by being tilted back and forth ?

My guess would be a cheap pos lifter. I had a 3030 with one and would jam very nicely. Just a guess without seeing it though.

First thought was that the "tab" on the back of the loading gate has worn, allowing the cartridge to come back too far. It is possible that someone has taken it apart prior to you getting it and did not put the cartridge guides in correctly.
