Gentlemen,
When did Winchester finish its Educational Order for the M1 Garand ?
When did Winchester being it standard production Order for the M1 Garand? This data is important to know how Winchester was working with the M1 Garands. Also remember that Winchester was also making other military rifles beside the M1 Garand.

Winchester

"Educational order" of 500 rifles issued on April 4th 1939 and shipped on December 27th 1940.

"Production" Contracts: September 20th 1939, Produced 513,880 M1 rifles by June 30th 1945.

Didn't even finish the educational order before it started to get production contracts.

Gentlemen,
I have the data files on Winchester production. It ain't pretty.
Winchester and Ordnance were having problems through Winchester Production.
BY Feb of 1941 Winchester had only turned over to Ordnance 300 rifles from the Ed Order and NONE in Feb. of their production Order in 1941.
