Came across this today --model 1894 circa 1897 in 33 wcf. can't find where it was produced in this caliber. It has a shotgun stock, half mag action tight gone to patina. owner sent me some very poor pictures. Want. Anyone shed some light on this/

There's no way the .33 Winchester would fit into the model 1894. The 45-70 rim diameter is too big for the action. The cartridge was used mainly in the 1886 & to
a lesser extent in the model 1895 rifles.
 
What he said. The .33 wouldn't even function in an 1894 Winchester. It was introduced at the same time as the .32 Winchester Special around 1902 but not a catalogue item til 1903 I think. So not an 1894 in .32 WS either unless rebarreled or a rechambered .32/40.
