Below is an old Winchester reloading tool I received with my 40-65. I have been reloading for years so most I can figure out fairly easily. BUT, how does it remove the spent primers?? It looks like you just drive it out when the case is in the sizing handle. Am I missing a pin to do that or are you expected to just pick up a nail to do it?

Senior, I hope someone answers that, because then I will know, too!
My 30-30 tool is exactly the same and I haven't figured that out, either.

That was the last tool Winchester made of that type. It was called the Model 1894 and was available for cartridges from 25/35 up to 50/110. There was a separate pin that accompanied it for decapping. I did a web search for Winchester antique reloading tools and found several posted at different locations on the results. One showed the decapping pin along side the tool but in a picture too small to tell you much, the other referred to the pin as being missing from the tool. There are probably additional references but I didn't search any further after basically identifying the model and learning about the missing pin. Nice piece to have and you can probably search further for additional information.

Got curious so visited some of the sites that were selling old reloading equipment. Found a picture of the pin for a 45-60 that was for sale. This may or may not be the one that should have accompanied yours but it would work any where you had a light mallet and an object to support the case and let the primer drop through. Basically it was a steel piece longer than the cartridge case and most of the pin was of a diameter to be close to the same inside dimension of the cartridge case. One end had about 1/2 " to 3/4" turned down to flash hole diameter. Drop the pin in the case, it self centers and give the top end a tap with the primer over a hole so it can fall free.
