Hello everyone;
I have been using Winchester S401 in my Para 16-40 (5" barrel) for some time now. I want to replicate the recipe in my reloads for the upcoming IPSC Provincial Championships. The S401 is a 165 grain 40 S&W bullet that reportedly develops 1130 fps muzzel velocity. The effective power factor is 186. Can anyone identify the type of powder and the amount of charge that Winchester uses in this cartridge? Alternatively, can anyone provide the recipe to develop this kind of power factor using either Winchester 231 or Super Target?
Thanks,
Blue Orca
